The Daily Star newspaper has published an article about an entire Iraqi family that was killed in a U.S. raid last Wednesday in al-es-haqi town north of Baghdad.

Associated Press photographs showed the bodies of two men, five children and four other covered figures arriving at Tikrit General Hospital accompanied by grief-stricken relatives.

Despite the statements of the U.S military that the house contained an Al-Qaeda suspect, Colonel Farouq Hussein of the Iraqi Police said that the autopsies of those children and women were carried out at Tikrit hospital and it was found that “all the victims had gunshot wounds to the head”.

The bodies, their hands bound, had been dumped in one room before the house was destroyed, Hussein said. Police had found spent American-issue cartridges in the rubble.

“It’s a clear and perfect crime without any doubts,” he said.

Isn't that in itself strange...? I am sure it would not be hard for a person (s) to get their hands on an American made weapon and ammunition...to make this look like a "clear and perfect crime..." To enrage people and get the reaction it is getting serves their purpose of dividing Iraq even further... This seems "made to order"... Maybe the intelligence was "set up" on this bombing...

The US military openly admits it attacked the house in Ishaqi where the incident took place. Reuters reports.

Assaulting a house and executing bound prisoners are two very different things.

There are a few large holes in this story which make it far from a "clear and perfect crime."

It was noted that all the deceased had gunshot wounds to the head, did they have wounds to other parts of their bodies? What angle did these shots enter from and were there powder burns (suggesting that they were shot at very close range.) Were any rounds recovered from inside the courpses ? Were they able to be identified as to what caliber they were? Was there bruising and cuts around where they had been bound (suggesting whether they were still alive when it happened.)

I could go on but I think you get the point. These are serious accusations and if cleaning our own house is in order it will be done but far to many questions remain for this to seem to be anything but a disinformation attempt.

What a shame! It would be acceptable to have the American soldiers fire on Iraqi soldiers in the course of combat. But these are innocent people. What was done to them was plain murder. And America wonders why the world hates them?
